Fairlane Apartments

Fairlane Apartments are unique in that they are off-campus, but still a part of Taylor housing. They're located just five blocks from campus and house approximately 60 upperclassmen and married couples.

As a part of the Taylor Community, Fairlane residents have the privilege of living and serving together.

Elizabeth Lyon, Fairlane Apartment DirectorElizabeth Lyon

My name is Elizabeth Lyon, and I am the new Apartment Director of Fairlane Apartments.  This will be my first year at Taylor, and I look forward to becoming a part of the Taylor Community.  I recently graduated from Georgetown College in May 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  While at Georgetown, I served as a Resident Advisor for a freshmen residence hall and for an upperclassmen women's hall.  I also served as Resident Director my senior year.  My passion is college students and that community, which led me to Taylor's Masters of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development program. In the future, I would love to work internationally in Christian Higher Education. Outside of the school environment, I enjoy anything sports related, being outdoors, traveling/experiencing new cultures, and simply meeting people. I get energy from being around people, so I love to be involved and active around campus.  I am a firm believer that life happens best in community.  I strive to make it a priority in my life to make my surrounding community stronger.  Positivity is one of my strengths, so I see the glass as overflowing because I know that God has a specific plan for my life, and it is my job to live each day as a gift.

Joshua Wymore, Assistant Fairlane Apartment DirectorJosh Wymore

I am Josh Wymore and am blessed to be the Assistant Director of Fairlane Apartments. I graduated from LeTourneau University in 2008, where I studied math, worked with freshmen in the First Year Experience program, and was an assistant coach for two years with the women's softball team.

I am currently in my second year in Taylor's Master of Arts in Higher Education program (MAHE, for short) and in my first year in this position. Last year, I served in Residence Life at Taylor University Fort Wayne.  In my complementary role as Graduate Assistant for Retention, I will be continuing my relationship with many of the TUFW students who transferred to the Upland campus. I am expecting great things this year, and I pray that God allows me to bless others to the same degree that He has blessed me in my time at Taylor.

As an very proud Texan, I love football dearly (Hook 'em, Horns!). More than that, I love connecting with students, faculty, and staff from all over and hearing their stories. I'm also fond of all types of intramurals, really old movies, standup comedy, Wikipedia, and great books.
