Clubs and Organizations

Student clubs offer exciting opportunities for students to pursue their academic, athletic and special interests at Taylor University. Student clubs also encourage students to be an active participant in the campus community and grow in their Christian leadership development.

Alpha Pi Iota Club (Premedical)

The Alpha Pi Iota Club is a premedical club that offers support, encouragement and outside the classroom educational opportunities for premedical students. Alpha Pi Iota sponsors guest lectures on a variety of medical issues in the field of medicine and bioethics, promotes and supports preparation for the Kaplan MCAT and also offers social opportunities for premedical students.

Stewards of Creation

Stewards of Creation (SOC) is a non-partisan club that seeks to glorify God through the care and protection of His earth. Group members perform projects and service in an effort to inform and educate while holding adventure activities to promote enjoyment of the outdoors.

Asian Awareness Association (AAA)

The Asian Awareness Association is open to all students who have an interest in Asian culture or desire to learn more about Asian culture. The students in the Asian Awareness Association plan campus activities and programs that expose the community to Asian customs, traditions and art. They support and promote developing globally-minded Christians and they provide fun and social opportunities for participating students.

Equestrian Club

The Equestrian Club has been involved in team competition through the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) for eighteen years. Students learn and show Hunt Seat, an English style of riding. The club is open to all full-time students, regardless of gender or ability.

Men's Lacrosse Club

Started in the fall of 1997, the Men's Lacrosse Club has brought the fun and excitement of the sport to the Midwest. A member of the USLIA (United States lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates), the Lacrosse Club competes in the CCLA (Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association) Division. The club is open to male students who are interested in competing at a high level and are interested in fun Christian fellowship.

Women's Lacrosse Club

The Women's Lacrosse Club has been involved in organized team competition since 2001. The club practices regularly and plays both a home and away schedule that includes state schools such as Ohio State as well as other Christian colleges like Wheaton. The club is open to female students who are interested in developing as a lacrosse player and athlete and provides good competition, fun and Christian fellowship.

Computer Science Club

The Computer Science Club exists to stimulate interest in computers and their uses, offer encouragement and incentive for students pursuing computer science education and provide fellowship for those sharing the common interest of computers.

Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club exists to encourage discussion of current topics and issues in astronomy amongst students and community members. The club also organizes open viewing nights in the campus observatory for special astronomical events.

The Guild

The Guild is a club sponsored by the art department but open to anyone who is interested in art. Whether someone is an art student, a student from another discipline who also happens to be an artist, or just a student who is interested in discussing and enjoying art, there is something in the guild for that person.

Writer's Club

The Writer's Club is a club that seeks to glorify God through written word. The club provides a congenial, non-competitive workshop atmosphere that is conducive to writing as well as an avenue for publication in its yearly publication The Rhapsodist.

Math Club

The Math Club exists to further interest in mathematics, offer encouragement and incentive for those pursuing mathematics as a field of study or as a personal interest and also provides social opportunities for those interested in math. 

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)

Taylor SIFE is devoted to following Christ by enabling students to apply the principles of free enterprise in our community and the world. SIFE is an international organization that mobilizes university students around the world to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. All students are encouraged to join.
