Client Services
Client Services, a part of Taylor’s Information Technology department, provides technology support to Taylor faculty, staff, students, guests, and alumni. The goal of the Client Services staff is to provide timely and appropriate solutions and to help our clients understand and use Taylor resources to their fullest.
Business Hours
Normal business hours are 8:00 - 5:00 and 6:00 - 9:00, Monday - Friday.
Summer business hours are 7:45 - 4:30, Monday - Friday.
Internet Filtering
In order to provide a safe working & learning environment, Taylor provides Internet filtering for employees and students. For research purposes, unfiltered Internet access is available on selected computers in Zondervan Library.
Computer Usage Policies
Taylor University holds employees and students to high Christian standards. As such, it is expected that anyone using Taylor’s network comply with university computer usage policies. These policies explain appropriate behavior once online. View our policies .
Computer Registration
All computers connected to Taylor’s network must be secured and registered in order to access the Internet. The process involves securing the PC against attack, configuring the PC for use on Taylor’s network, and agreeing to Taylor’s usage policies. Registration requires a valid Taylor username & password and is completed by Information Technology staff for employees and by the student, for personally-owned computers.
Request Help
Self-Help is available in the form of tutorials. Tutorials are in PDF format and cover a wide range of topics such as passwords, use of the myTAYLOR Portal, and fighting viruses, SPAM and spyware. You’ll find them on the Tutorials Page.

Student Support
Client Services provides free email/phone based support to current Taylor students. Support covers network connection and use of Taylor's network resources such as e-mail, Blackboard, myTAYLOR, TOWER, etc. Read Taylor's Service Level Agreement (.PDF) for more info.
More advance and in-room support is available to students from the Student Tech Roster. The Roster is made up of current Taylor students who have agreed to provide computer help for a reasonable fee. Fees are currently set at $15 per hour.
