Men's and Women's Programming

Men’s and Women’s Programming facilitates the development of a university community environment that encourages growth and development in the lives of our students. Our hope is to start a solid relationship with incoming students and work alongside the residence life program to support one another in meeting men and women where they are, but inspiring them to take an active part in their own spiritual growth and development. Practically this takes place as Men’s and Women’s Programming serve as a catalyst for discussions via programming based upon the needs of our campus community. In addition, we aim to facilitate healthy connections among our student body that help to eliminate barriers within our community.

Staff:

Jake McCurry – Men’s Programming Graduate Assistant

My name is Jake McCurry and I am the Graduate Assistant for Men’s Programming here at Taylor.  I am beginning my first year both in the MAHE program and in Indiana.  Growing up in rural Washington State and then attending college in California this is my first time in the midwest.  I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California and I received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

At Azusa I had the opportunity to be a Resident Adviser (equivalent to a PA at Taylor) for two years.  My time in Residence Life at Azusa developed in me a passion for the student life field! I am pumped to begin working with the Men's Programming staff and engage in the intentional community that is Taylor.

The Student Experience

"For me I have learned to trust God even more in all of my situations and have Him lead instead of me planning out what I think is best for me."
