Grandparents Day—The tradition of Grandparents Day at Taylor University began several years ago as a way to honor the cherished legacy of faithful grandparents. It is a time of fellowship, learning, and bonding between grandparents and their grandchildren.

Distinguished Faculty Lecture—This lecture allows a peer-selected faculty member from the natural and applied sciences with a distinguished scholarship record to share some of his or her research results with a general audience.
Dedication of Gudakunst Field—The softball team began the 2012 season 15-3 and finished with 26 wins—the most in Taylor history. A well-rounded team, they carry a cumulative GPA of 3.57 and are poised for a run at the League Championships. To supplement a strong team, a newly renovated field with new lights, scoreboard and sign, outfield drainage, and backstop netting will be dedicated on Friday, April 26.
Center for Missions Computing Open House—The Taylor Center for Missions Computing, a campus Center of Excellence, brings together students and faculty to help meet the computing needs of mission organizations worldwide.
Join us for an open house in our future lab space to learn more about our vision, interact with student missions technologists, and see displays of past and current projects with Wycliffe, Operation Mobilization, and other missions we have served. Taylor Theatre: The Curious Savage—A Taylor University production of a comedic play about Ethel P. Savage, a woman whose husband recently died and left her approximately $10 million—and whose grown-up stepchildren want her committed to a mental hospital.

Taylor Writing Center Writing Walls—Celebrate Your Heritage at the Writing Wall! As part of Heritage Weekend here at Taylor University, the Writing Center is sponsoring a “Writing Wall.” We are inviting you to make a contribution—we want to hear your stories! How does the Writing Wall work? Simply write your text and place it on the Writing Wall under the appropriate category, using the various sticky notes and pens that will be available at each of three different Writing Walls on campus. Taylathon Bike Race—A Taylor tradition of nearly 60 years involves men’s and women’s cycling teams racing through campus.
Baseball vs. Grace College—The defending league champion Trojans face off against a league opponent in an exciting double header on the newly renovated Winterholter Field.
Personnel Assistant (PA) Reunion—Focusing on Heritage Weekend’s theme of servant leadership, former and current Personnel Assistants have been asked to participate in dialogue celebrating the heritage of servant leadership at Taylor.

Council of 100 and Bishop William Taylor Society Reception—Reserved for those who have given a lifetime total of $100,000 or more to Taylor (Council of 100) or those who have included Taylor in their estate plans (Bishop William Taylor Society), this reception honors the deep commitment and faithful giving of alumni and friends. President Habecker will share and new members of the C-100 will be inducted at 4:00 p.m.

President’s Dinner—Reserved for Presidential Partners, scholarship contacts, and student recipients, the purpose of the President’s Dinner is to express appreciation and recognize scholarship. The dinner also provides the opportunity for scholarship donors to meet their recipients.
