Taylor Women's Soccer Falls to Spring Arbor

In their second appearance against a nationally recognized program in as many games the Taylor University women's soccer team fell to Spring Arbor 5-1.

The Cougars are receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25. Last Tuesday Taylor was defeated by 11th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan.

The Lady Trojans drop to 4-6-1 on the season and 0-2 in league action.

Allison Guion scored the lone Trojan goal off a Kelsey Lauffer corner kick. Guion is second on the team with four goals this season behind freshman Cara Andjelich who did not play due to an injury.

Lauffer recorded her third assist of the season.

Taylor is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Grace College (10-1) for their second of three consecutive road games. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
