Pair of Trojans Lead in Women's Soccer Win

The Taylor University women's soccer team dominated from start to finish against Calumet College today for a 4-1 victory. The win improves the Trojans to 3-3 on the season.
Twelve different Trojans attempted shots on the afternoon as Taylor outshot the Crimson Wave 31-4. Freshman Cara Andjelich and sophomore Taylor Hale led the way for the Trojans with two goals apiece.
Andjelich has posted four goals on the season, while Hale netted her first two counters of 2009.
Taylor took a 3-0 lead into the break sparked by Melanie Hall's assist to Andjelich for the first goal of the match. Hale followed the performance with two consecutive goals, the first assisted by Leah Beck and the second off a double assist by Andjelich and Natalie Cullen.
Sophomore Kelsey Lauffer set up the final Trojan goal in the second half.
Calumet moved the scoreboard in the final two minutes of action after being awarded a penalty kick.
Shawna Lane posted three saves in the match.
The Lady Trojans are back in action on Monday when they play host to Adrian College at 4 p.m.
