Coach's Email Scott Stan

Head women's soccer coach Scott Stan enters his second year at the helm of the Lady Trojan program in the fall of 2009.

Stan has amassed a 92-69-14 record in 9 years at the collegiate level. He holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma as a coaching license.

An nine-year veteran at the college level, Stan was named Heartland College Conference Coach of the Year in three of the past eight seasons while at Manchester College. During his stint at Manchester he also led the Lady Spartans to the NCAA Division III National Tournament twice.

Stan has served as an assistant coach with the Chicago Gaels professional team and has also been affiliated with USA Athletes International, coaching five different US teams in Australia and Peru.

Picking up soccer as a five-year old in England, Stan continued his soccer playing career in high school, and later became the all-time leading scorer at Trinity Christian College with 86 goals in 72 matches. He was a three-time NCCAA All-American and recently was honored by being inducted into the TCC Athletic Hall of Fame.

In addition to his coaching, Stan has been assigned duties as an Assistant Athletic Director.

Coach Stan's wife, Patricia, is a member of Taylor's faculty in the chemistry department.


Assistant Coach - Bryan Miller

Bryan Miller is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Lady Trojans.

Miller graduated from Taylor University in 2008 and was a four-year player for the Trojan men's soccer team. He helped lead the Trojans to a 12-5-2 record and a second place finish in the Mid-Central College Conference as a captain his senior season.

A native of Wheaton, Illinois, Miller attended Glenbard South High School before coming to Taylor.

Miller will assist Head Coach Scott Stan with practices, games and recruiting throughout the season. He received a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management and will also serve on the sports information staff at Taylor.
