Taylor Draws Concordia (Neb.) in First Round

The Taylor University women's basketball team will meet Concordia (Neb.) in the first round of the 2009 NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa, at 10:15 a.m. CST on Wednesday, March 11.
Taylor (21-11) drew the sixth seed and will take on the third-seeded Bulldogs. Ranked No. 8 in the final Division II Women's Basketball Top 25 Poll, Concordia (24-8) last played in the semifinals of the Great Plains Athletic Conference against No. 6 Northwestern (Iowa). Concordia dropped an overtime thriller to Northwestern, 80-78.
