Women's XC Trio Named Scholar-Athletes

Taylor University's women's cross country team had three runners named NAIA Scholar-Athletes for their achievements in the classroom, the NAIA announced Friday.
Senior Alyssa Johnson (Portland, Ind.) and a pair of juniors-Mandy Isaacson (Dalton, Ohio) and Janet Redding (Fort Wayne, Ind.)-received the academic honor from the NAIA.
Johnson is an elementary education major. Isaacson majors in engineering physics, and Redding is an exercise science major.
The NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award is given to junior and senior student-athletes who maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A total of 254 women's cross country student-athletes are represented on this year's list of award winners.
