Ryan Magnuson - NAIA Offensive Player of the WeekThe junior from Grand Rapids, Mich., scored all 36 points for the Trojans, who had two PAT attempts blocked and failed to score on three two-point conversion attempts.

Taylor trailed Marian 35-18 in the fourth quarter before Magnuson hauled in three touchdown passes from quarterback Shaun Addison in the final ten minutes of the game.

Magnuson established new Taylor school records for touchdown catches (6), points (36), and touchdowns (6). The six scoring plays came on distances of 4, 22, 26, 30, 5, and 44 yards. The final stat line for Magnuson was 11 catches for 196 yards.

Addison delivered all six touchdown passes to set one of four new Taylor passing marks. The junior's 29 completions, 390 passing yards, and .805 completion percentage are all school records. The quarterback threw for 326 yards in the second half.

Earlier in the day, Magnuson was selected as the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Offensive Player of the Week. His six touchdown catches gives him the MSFA all-time record.

An exercise science major, Magnuson currently ranks 17th in the NAIA in scoring (7.7 ppg) and 20th in receiving yards (88.3 ypg).

The win over Marian, a team that was receiving votes in last week's NAIA Top 25 Poll, improves Taylor's record to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the MSFA Mideast League. For the first time since 1999, the Trojans are guaranteed at least a .500 record.

Taylor travels to Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) Saturday for a 1:30 pm CST kickoff.
