The Mid-Central College Conference has announced that Taylor volleyball players Kelsey Pritchard and Betsy Brown have been named MCC Player and Setter of the Week. It is the sixth time Brown has been recognized by the conference this season, while Pritchard has earned the honor five times.

No. 17 Taylor (30-5) finished the week 4-1, including a 3-0 victory over Huntington which wrapped up the Trojans' second straight outright MCC title and their third consecutive championship overall.

The lone loss for the Trojans came in a 3-2 setback to No. 7-ranked Columbia (Mo.) on Friday evening in the NAIA Match of the Week.

Pritchard recorded her 1,000th career kill on her second of 27 kills in a win over Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday. In the near upset of Columbia, Pritchard paced the team with 14 kills. The sophomore was voted to the All-Tournament Team at the Trojan Challenge. She currently ranks third in the NAIA with 530 total kills.

Brown dished out 36 assists in the straight set win over Huntington. Against Indiana Wesleyan, Brown posted the second highest assist total of her career with 60 helpers in the win over the Wildcats. Her 1,275 assists ranks the sophomore 13th in the NAIA.
