Women's Soccer Set to Begin Postseason
10.28.2009
Despite a 3-5 league record, Taylor will enter the Mid-Central College Conference Women's Soccer Tournament as one of the hottest teams in the field on a three-game winning streak.
The Trojans have the sixth seed entering Saturday's first round action and will travel to third-seeded Spring Arbor, who is receiving votes in the latest national polls. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
The Cougars won the only regular season duel on Oct. 3 at Spring Arbor. The 5-1 loss was Taylor's largest of the season and five goals is the most the Trojans have allowed in a single contest this year.
In the past three games, however, both the offense and defense have been the best of the season scoring six goals while allowing just one. In the five games prior the Trojans recorded just two counters and gave up twelve.
Should Taylor prevail they will take on the winner of Bethel and No. 14 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 7.
