Taylor Volleyball in NAIA Match of the Week

The matchup between the No. 24 Taylor volleyball team and No. 15 Indiana Tech is the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Match of the Week, the NAIA announced Thursday afternoon. The non-conference tilt will be played Friday at 5:30 pm on Indiana Tech's campus in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Taylor enters the match with an overall record of 20-4, while Indiana Tech is 19-7 on the season. Neither team has lost to a team outside the Top 20 in the polls.

Indiana Tech has won its last nine matches, including wins over then-No. 6 Georgetown (Ky.) College and then-No. 10 Madonna (Mich.) University.

Taylor recently had its own nine match win streak snapped with a 3-1 loss at NCAA Div. II 12th-ranked University of Indianapolis.

The last time the Trojans and Warriors met was on Nov. 1, 2008 when a 19th-ranked Taylor squad gave 15th-ranked Indiana Tech their first loss of the season in a 3-2 thriller at Taylor.

Indiana Tech holds a 7-6 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools.
