Women's Cross Country Celebrates 25 Years

Taylor University will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of women's cross country on Homecoming Weekend. Over 55 women are returning to Taylor to commemorate the anniversary at Taylor. They will be recognized at the Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday, October 16, along with 2009 Hall of Fame inductees.

On Saturday morning, October 17, at 10:30 a.m. in Alspaugh West Banquet there will be a women's cross country brunch. This program will focus on the women athletes who have been a part of the cross country program since its inception in 1984.

Coach Ray Bullock, who started the program, will be sharing some remarks as will former runners Valerie (Wilson ‘87) Boado, Naomi (Moore '94) Fruchey and Lolly (York ‘07) Edgerton. There will be a time for others to share, as well as memorabilia on display from throughout the years including a video presentation.

Current coach Cindy Callison, former coach Chris Coy and former athletic director George Glass will also be part of the program.
