Volleyball Holds Steady at No. 19

The Taylor volleyball team maintained its No. 19 ranking in the latest NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll after posting a 5-1 mark to start the season. The only loss of the season for the Trojans came against then No. 13 Olivet Nazarene.
Taylor has now appeared in the last eight NAIA Top 25 polls dating back to October 14, 2008. The 254 points they received in the current poll is 40 more points than the team earned in the preseason ratings.
The Trojans open conference play Wednesday when they visit Marian University for a 7 p.m. start time. Taylor then travels to Lamoni, Iowa, for a tournament at Graceland University this weekend.
Fresno Pacific (Calif.) still owns the top spot in the Top 25 poll. The Sunbirds received all 24 first place votes and 684 total points.
