Trojans Soccer Added to Live Stats Lineup

They Taylor University athletic department has announced it will broadcast live stats via the Internet for the 2009 men's and women's soccer seasons.

The addition of soccer to the live stats lineup gives Taylor fans eight different teams they can follow live on www.taylor.edu/athletics. The list of offerings includes football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball.

Fans that are unable to make it to the Trojans' soccer stadium can follow live in-game updates by clicking on the Live Stats icons on the right hand side of the Taylor athletics website. Links to live stats can also be found on the ‘Schedule and Scores' page of both the men's and women's soccer teams.

After clicking on the Live Stats link, the page will automatically refresh every 30 seconds providing up-to-date information on time, score, substitutions and other pertinent in-game information.

The men's soccer season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 22, when the Trojans play host to Indiana Tech. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The first home women's match is slated for Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. against Asbury College.

Taylor introduced Live Stats in the fall of 2008 with the last half of the volleyball season. Coverage continued with the men's and women's basketball seasons in the winter as well as the baseball and softball seasons in the spring.

The expanded coverage is a part of the athletic department's effort to offer the most comprehensive Trojans sports news, scores and highlights possible.
