Zeigler New Volleyball Assistant Coach
08.18.2009
Ashlee Zeigler, a former Taylor University volleyball standout, has joined the Taylor volleyball coaching staff. Head coach Brittany Smith announced the addition of the Pendleton, Ind., native as the team began its preseason camp earlier this week.
Zeigler brings four years of coaching experience to the college ranks, including a three-year head coaching stint with Momentum Volleyball Club in Upland.
Prior to serving as an assistant coach for the Asics Munciana Volleyball Club in 2009, Zeigler played on four Munciana national-qualifying teams before continuing her playing career at Taylor.
As a team captain for Taylor, Zeigler helped lead the Trojans to three straight 30-win seasons and back-to-back Mid-Central College Conference regular season championships in 2007 and 2008.
In 472 career sets for the Trojans, Zeigler accumulated 1,676 digs to place her fourth on Taylor's all-time list for digs per set.
Prior to accepting the coaching position at Taylor, she worked since December as a personal trainer at White River Fitness Club in Anderson.
Zeigler earned her degree in exercise science from Taylor, along with a minor in management.
