The men's track and field team placed fifth at the 104th Indiana Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday. Scott Gill and the 4x400 relay team each claimed Little State titles.
The Trojans began the meet on the right foot as Gill nailed a 23'5" leap on his first attempt, and no competitor could match the mark giving Gill the win.
A short time later the sophomore cleared 6'6" to capture second in the high jump. He completed his day by joining Dave Voss, Bryan Allingham, and Andy Marston to take third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 42.64.
TU's other title came in the final event of the day when Marston, Voss, and Allingham were joined by Kyle Cassidy to win the 4x400 relay in 3:18.15, a new stadium record.

Bryan burst from a large pack to grab second in the 1500 meters in 3:59.34. Allingham travel the 200 meter final in 22.25 to place second. In preliminary rounds, he hit 21.95 to qualify for NAIA Nationals. Allingham also qualified in the 400 meters with a time of 48.95 for seventh place.
Mark Beckford posted a third place in the triple jump with a leap of 42'11". JP Robles grabbed fourth in the javelin toss. Cory Anderson's 15.19 in the 110 meter hurdles was good enough for fifth place and qualified him for the NAIA National Championships.
