The Distance Medley Relay team of Nate Kirsch, Bryan Allingham, Brian Tencher, and Isaac Bryan finished in 16th place out of 26 teams in the prelims at the 2009 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

At the championships contested in Johnson City, Tennessee, the four sophomores crossed the finish line in 10:29.84.  The top 8 teams in the prelims advanced to the finals, which Taylor missed by just 17 seconds.

"I was pleased with our performance," said Taylor head coach Ted Bowers.  "This is our best DMR time here at Nationals in close to 10 years.  With all four of these guys being sophomores, we're excited about what the future holds."

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) had the top time in prelims at 10:05.63.

Isaac Bryan will compete in the mile run today at 2:20 p.m. EST.  From the women's track team, Andrea Elsman is set to compete in the pole vault at 3 p.m. EST today.
