Bryan Leads Trojans with Qualifying Effort
February 07, 2009
The Taylor Trojans opened up their indoor season by hosting the 5th Annual Taylor Indoor Invitational on Saturday. The event attracted over 450 athletes from four states. The highlight of the day for TU was Isaac Bryan's automatic qualifying effort in the mile run with a 4:19.54, which was good enough for 4th place, an indication of the quality of the meet.
The Trojans waited until the final event of the day to claim a victory, but it was worth the wait as the 4x40 relay team of Dave Voss, Brad Wetherell, Bryan Allingham, and Kyle Cassidy produced a 3:27.10 for the win.
Sophomores Cory Anderson (55 hurdles) and Nate Kirsch (800 meters) each ran to second place finishes. Michael Pabody (3000 meters) grabbed 3rd place as did Eric Nystrom (600 meters).
Next week TU will compete at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.
