Overview of Men's Cross Country
The Taylor University men's cross country program has been one of outstanding quality for the duration of its 54-year history. The Trojans boast seventeen All-American awards including seven top ten finishes at the NAIA National Championships including Ralph Foote's individual championship in 1969.As a team, the Trojans have staked a claim to four Top Ten finishes at the NAIA Championships, and in 1995 also were honored as the top Scholar-Athlete squad. When it comes to conference/district titles, TU holds 25, including six in the MCC.
Our greatest desire as a coaching staff is for the members of our team to grow in their relationship with Christ while they are at Taylor. The camaraderie on our team runs very deep. The basis for this is that we are all brothers in Christ. He is the focal point of our meetings, our training and our competition. We have seen Him present us with opportunities to share His gracious love with those we come in contact with through cross country, as well glorifying Him through our competition.
