Trojans Advance Five to Finals

Five Trojans advanced to the finals of the Mid-Central College Conference men's tennis tournament today. The Trojans went 5-2 in the semifinal action.

Taylor trails Indiana Wesleyan by one point in the team standings entering Saturday's finals action.Both teams have five representatives remaining in the competition and they will square off head-to-head in two matches including Jack Reed's final at #4 singles and Wes Nitzsche's final at #6 singles.

Both Reed and Nitzsche advanced by defeating Marian University representatives. Overall the Trojans were 4-0 vs. the Knights.

The Trojans dropped both the #1 singles and #1 doubles flights with fourth-seeded Blevins (Grace) upsetting top seed Felipe Bedon 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 and the Indiana Wesleyan duo Bischoff/May taking down Bedon/Reed 8-5.

Saturday's action moves back outdoors after two days of indoor competition due to rain. Matches are scheduled to begin at noon on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan.
