The Trojan golf team placed sixth at the nine-team Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invitational contested at Meshingomesia Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

Though getting off to a slow start on Monday the team rebounded nicely on day two, improving their team total by 12 strokes.

Tyler Ramsland shot a 77-76-153 to lead the Trojans to tie for 15th place in the 65-man field. Evan Cather's 82-78-160 was good enough to tie for 33rd, while Arne Fahlen was just two strokes back at 162 on rounds of 84-78. TU's scoring was rounded out by Jimmy Fahlen, who carded an 84-82-166.

Josh Gates posted an 83-85-168, and Daniel Rassi finished with a 91-82-173.

Taylor head coach Jon Ochs was pleased with the improvement. "We got off to a bit of a rocky start, but the guys did a great job of responding to the challenge on day two."

The Trojans' next match is hosted by Bethel College on September 25-26 at Black Thorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.
