4 x 800 Relay Qualifies for Nationals

The men's 4 x 800 team raced to a third place finish at the NCCAA Championships on Friday night in electrifying fashion by posting a 7:44.65, an NAIA automatic qualifying time.

The quartet of Andy Marston, Brian Tencher, Nate Kirsch, and Isaac Bryan improved on their previous best by four seconds to secure a trip to St. Louis for the National Championships.

In the night's other final, senior Braxton Fritz finished fifth in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:55.32.

In the preliminary rounds, the Trojans put three men in the 400 final led by #1 qualifier Bryan Allingham. Marston and Eric Nystrom will join Allingham in Saturday's final.

Cory Anderson qualified for the 110 meter hurdle final and Dave Voss moved on to the final in the 400 meter hurdles.

The final day of the NCCAA meet begins at 11:30 am at Indiana Wesleyan.
