Manchester Outlasts TU Baseball in Slugfest

The Taylor baseball team fell 13-12 to Manchester College Tuesday night. Junior Michael Kraynak took the loss for the Trojans after pitching just 2/3 of an inning and allowing two runs.
Sophomore Taylor Kinzer was the starting pitcher for the Trojans and left the game after six innings with a 9-3 lead after striking out five. Kinzer also added offensive firepower with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored on a 2-for-4 showing at the plate.
Six Trojan batters had multiple hits in the game which helped push their lead to 12-6 heading into the eighth inning. Freshman Ryan Otis led the way with a pair of home runs, four RBI and three runs scored. Seniors Cassidy Emery (4-for-6), Paul Passiales (3-for-5), Taylor Wilde (2-for-4) and Matt Maple (3-for-5) joined the multi-hit group.
The loss drops the Trojans to 9-5 on the season. On Wednesday, March 18 the Trojans take on Siena Heights on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University at 4:30 p.m.
