Kraynak Hits Grand Slam, Trojans Win 13-3

Michael Kraynak hit a grand slam to ignite a seven-run fifth inning as Taylor defeated Southeastern University 13-3 in a run-rule shortened game Saturday to capture first place in Pool A at the Bryan College Invitational.
Kraynak finished the game 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in four runs. Taylor Kinzer swung a hot bat, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Freshman Ryne Otis had two hits and drove in two runs.
Sophomore pitcher Zach Vander Laan got the win after pitching five innings, striking out three batters and giving up three earned runs.
Taylor (2-3) will now face Emmanuel College at 7 p.m. Saturday night in the championship game of the Bryan College Baseball Invitational.
