Sociology Careers and Graduate School Opportunities

As a graduate of our department, you will be able to understand personal experiences from social and cultural perspectives, and appreciate various cultural dynamics and orientations. You will also be able to recognize the complexities of national and international issues and situations, and develop informed ethical positions about complex issues. Our students are equipped to demonstrate the Christian call to promote redemption and change in an increasingly diverse and complex world.

Whether you are looking to work with individuals in need or to serve as a researcher in an academic setting, we will prepare you for whatever path you choose. Our students often continue their education in graduate school, work in ministry settings, or choose to work with social service agencies. Sociology also offers valuable preparation for careers in journalism, politics, public relations, business, or public administration.
