English Language Teaching

Do you want to teach the English language to non-native speakers? Or are you non-native English speaking student eager to strengthen your English? Taylor offers unique opportunities in our TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs to help you achieve your goals.

Highly qualified ESL professionals teach and provide instruction in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture. Our Institute for English Language Studies program provides more than just classroom instruction. You will get to participate in our Residence Life programs, a variety of spiritual activities, clubs, and organizations that help increase your language skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Adding a TESOL certificate or minor to your academic major will give you the opportunity to teach English to people from different cultures, ages, educational backgrounds, and proficiency levels. It’s a great way to broaden your experience and increase your marketability in the work place. Our program can enrich your experience in a variety of ways, ranging from community service to missions trips abroad.
