Be the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world.

The reward of social work is seen in the faces of those that you help – children, teens, youth and adults that need an advocate like you. As a social worker, you will combine social work knowledge with a variety of theoretical concepts from psychology, sociology, political science, education, economics and biology in order to make a difference in the lives of those you help.

Taylor’s social work program will prepare you for a career in helping people at an individual, family, organizational or community level. You will be a lifelong learner, integrating your Christian values with professional social work values.

Taylor University is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and your degree prepares you for social work licensure in all 50 states. With a bachelors degree in social work from Taylor, you can move into a professional position upon graduation, or complete a masters in social work in one year – as opposed to two years for students without a bachelors.

Alumni have gone on to become residential counselors, school social workers, social work faculty and even a social worker in places like the Bahamas. Taylor’s emphasis on global awareness will prepare you to work anywhere that God calls you.
