Social Work Department
The department of Social Work at Taylor University promotes the development of lifelong learners by empowering students to minister the redemptive love of Jesus Christ through social justice within the individual, group, and global environments. The Social Work program integrates the concept of service learning into each level of study. Key characteristics of the program include:
- Accreditation by the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE), allowing students to apply for state licensing or certification in any state upon graduation.
- A required junior internship during interterm.
- A Senior Seminar field experience.
- A semester-long practicum experience during the final semester.
- Travel opportunities to places such as South Korea, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Egypt, England, Haiti, Latin America, Singapore, India, and Africa.
