Physics and Engineering Department
Physics BA/BS – The scientific study of matter, including the observation of how it interacts with energy and how it moves through space and time.
Engineering Physics BS – The study of physics, engineering and mathematics and the exploration of how these three separate disciplines can be combined. Career paths out of this major include engineering, applied science or applied physics through research, teaching and entrepreneurial engineering.
Physics/Math Education BS – Prepares a student to become a high school teacher capable of teaching either math or physics in a secondary school.
Environmental Engineering BS – The study of how to best apply science and engineering principles to improve the natural environment. Common applications include enhancing air, water and land resources for human and other organism’s habitation, as well as rectifying polluted sites.
