Lovers of Wisdom Apply Here

Are you considering a career in law, publishing, academia, public service, or the ministry? Graduates of Taylor’s philosophy program have gone on to become leaders in all of these fields. They are attorneys, pastors, college professors, authors, editors, coaches, missionaries, and business entrepreneurs. Their careers are diverse, but there are certain things they have in common.

Taylor’s Philosophy program develops skills in critical thinking, textual analysis and moral reasoning, as students explore worldviews, the history of ideas, and the foundations of human thought. The philosophy program digs deep into the core of liberal arts education, effectively preparing our majors to excel in graduate school and their careers afterwards.

Philosophy means “love of wisdom” and that is what you will develop at Taylor. We provide rigorous and rewarding training that involves the mind as well as the heart. You will not only study in the classroom, you will also learn what it means to be a truly virtuous person by interacting in our community, attending conferences, participating in our Ethics Bowl program and being mentored by our professors.
