Professional Writing Degree
Taylor's Bachelor of Science in Professional Writing offers courses designed to teach students how to write for a wide variety of media: newspapers, magazines, movies, stage plays, online publications, books, and other publications. You will take courses from the professional writing department as well as supplemental courses taken in related areas such as business and media communications.
You’ll build a portfolio of published work adding pieces all four years you’re in college. You must also complete a practicum involving professional work as a writer or editor. Your degree in professional writing will prepare you to work in the world of publishing or begin graduate-level studies in English, film, journalism, or creative writing.
