Film & Media Production
As a film and media production major at Taylor, you'll create festival-ready film and video projects using state-of-the-art cameras and editing equipment. Our award-winning program includes four kinds of production: narrative filmmaking, documentary filmmaking, video production for clients, and multi-camera studio production.
Our department's emphasis on great storytelling, combined with our array of cameras, lights, jibs/dollies, and professional editing suites, helps you create projects worthy of the big screen. Hollywood isn’t just a pipe dream. Our graduates work in the entertainment industry and so can you.
If you write for your school paper, enjoy layout or taking pictures, and love telling stories through the web, newspapers, magazines, or other media outlets, our journalism and media writing degree is for you.
Our journalism and media writing major will prepare you to craft messages with insight, Christian ethics, and passion in all forms of writing including print, broadcast, web, and audio/radio. Our program teaches you to tell stories in as many ways possible, not just through words, but also through design, photos, audio and video. It’s more than news journalism. To succeed in today’s writing market, you’ll need to be well versed in all media platforms and we can help you do just that as you write for our award-winning publication.
If you enjoy writing, organizing, and event planning, if you are good with people and think well on your feet, then our public relations degree is for you. Public Relations is a field poised to grow faster than average for the next decade.
