Celebrating the art of creating and creation
Do you believe the beauty of God is revealed in His creation? Do you believe that because we are made in God's image, we are designed to create and appreciate beauty? If so, Taylor University's art department is the place for you.
Our art department offers several avenues to pursue your passion for visual beauty and creativity. As a graphic art major, you'll gain foundational art skills while concentrating on design, illustration, or photography, and preparing for a career in commercial art. As a studio art major, you'll experiment with every medium imaginable, from metal and wood to printmaking and pottery. We also provide future art teachers with the necessary background to teach and offer a pre-art therapy program designed to prepare future art therapists for graduate school.
At Taylor, our desire is not only to build your artistic skill but also to strengthen your understanding of the significance of art and the role it can play in the world beyond studio and classroom.
