Center for Research and Innovation
Forming Partnerships
The CR&I seeks to collaborate with others to build a better economy and better communities.
Not only does this allow Taylor University to share its intellectual capital to assist others, but it creates opportunities for students to participate in solving real-life challenges, whether through classroom projects or summer internships.
Innovative Network
Taylor University is one of the founding members of the Innovative Network, an organization within the local county that includes:
- Indiana Wesleyan University
- Ivy Tech - Marion
- Grant County Economic Growth Council
- Marion/Grant County Chamber of Commerce
This group is collaborating to stimulate a knowledge-based economy and promote entrepreneurship.
Internships
The CR&I is working with Career Development at Taylor to promote internships. One of its resources is the Innovative Network, which has developed contacts with area businesses that would like to have student interns.
Every Fall and Spring, the Network hosts an Internship Fair. In the past, over 30 businesses and organizations have been represented at this event.
