Innovative Enterprises Program (IEP) Mission Statement
To inspire and grow student-faculty expertise, research, and innovation into quality, financially healthy projects and businesses that invigorate the local community and impact the world.
Keys to accomplishing this mission:
- Instilling a spirit of entrepreneurship that converts innovative ideas into real-world solutions
- Partnering with local area businesses, alumni, industry, and other universities
- Providing business consulting services
- Ensuring all activities are interdisciplinary in nature, reaching all academic areas
- Incorporate entrepreneurship in all facets of the curriculum

Students
The IEP mentors undergraduate students and guides their ideas through the proper steps to starting their own companies
Faculty
Helping faculty turn the intellectual property derived through their research into products
Local Community
New ventures and small business in the area who need consulting assistance
Programs
The Innovative Enterprise Incubator Program (IEP) is involved in the following activities:
Business Plan Competition
A competition focused on encouraging area entrepreneurs develop or improve an effective business plan. Also offers cash prizes, planning support, and networking opportunities.
Taylor Entrepreneurship Club (TEC)
Student-led club focused on bringing the entrepreneurial mindset to the Taylor campus through new venture participation, competitions and interactions with successful entrepreneurs.
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
Seeks to create an environment for the dedicated student to give and nurture competent, Christian leadership for the stewardship of resources.
Quality new ideas – whether from inside Taylor or not – are always welcome to the IEP.
It is the hope of the IEP that, with Jesus at the center, students will grow their skills and passions and learn to combine them with those of other students to serve a hurting world.
