Special Programs

Some of the most valuable education happens outside of the classroom. Taylor's special programs intentionally engage students in a variety of settings—on campus and overseas—to further challenge them and enrich their education.

  • The Freshman Irish Studies Program (FISP) takes a group of incoming freshmen to Ireland for their first semester as Taylor students. FISP students are exposed to a new culture while developing formative relationships and experiencing college for the first time.
  • The Honors Guild challenges qualified students beginning their freshman year. Honors students are challenged to dive deeper into their academic pursuits through research, discussion, and service.
  • The Village Tree Experience engages qualified upperclassmen with the issues facing orphans and vulnerable children. Participating students live together on campus, forming a tight-knit learning community.

Taylor also offers a variety of study abroad opportunities.
