American Studies Program
Washington, DC, eight blocks from the US Capitol
The American Studies Program (ASP) is an intensive semester in which students explore current national and international issues in public policy seminars led by top Washington professionals. Students build a solid foundation for the future through an internship experience. Sixteen credit hours are earned through this interdisciplinary program, which is designed for juniors and seniors. Preference for Taylor approval will be granted to students who have completed POS100, American Politics and/or POS211, World Politics.
Students live in modern, fully furnished apartments with three to five other ASP students in the Dellenbeck Center. ASP is a student program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities.
"ASP sparked a passion within me to devote my life to protecting human rights. With the nation's capital at my fingertips, I was able to witness fellow Christians fighting for justice on a national level as well as gain a better understanding of God's calling for my life." -- Nikki Schulz
