Interdisciplinary Programs – Natural and Applied Sciences

The School of Natural and Applied Sciences has a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary programs. This emphasis is indicative of the fact that many of the challenges and opportunities present in our world today require that the skills and knowledge of several disciplines be brought together in a coordinated fashion in order to address fully the issue of interest. Many of our interdisciplinary programs are housed within specific departments. Examples of such programs include the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, which are interdisciplinary by their very nature. Our engineering programs are highly interdisciplinary in nature. The Computer Engineering program is housed in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Engineering Physics program is housed in the Department of Physics and Engineering. Details about these programs, and many other interdisciplinary programs, can be found on the homepages for the appropriate departments. Some of our interdisciplinary programs are not housed in any one department, but are interdisciplinary in administration as well as content. For information about these programs, note the information provided below. Also, you can contact the Administrative Assistant for the School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Ms. Barb Michael, at 765-998-5354, or by email at brmichael@taylor.edu. Thank you for your interest in interdisciplinary programs at Taylor University.
