Presents citations for information on women world-wide, bringing together the areas of sociology, psychology, health, education, & human rights, providing full-text access to journals, newspapers, newsletters, fact sheets, bibliographies, research reports. Dates: 1992-present. Updated bimonthly.


Google Scholar

This search narrows the Google web to a more manageable, more reliable set of information--determined "scholarly" and thus more appropriate for research projects. Though not all results will be available for free, Google Scholar is an excellent identification tool, from which you can search library databases or request articles and book chapters through Zondervan's Interlibrary Loan service. This advanced search screen allows you to specify phrases to search, words to exclude, author last names, and even subject categories.


JSTOR

JSTOR (Journal STORage) presents the searchable full text of the complete back files for over 100 important scholarly journals. Coverage generally includes the first volume through issues published prior to the most recent 3-5 years (current issues are not available in JSTOR). Includes journals for the following disciplines: African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, sociology, and statistics.


PsycINFO

Subjects: Psychology and related fields. Contents: Citations, most with abstracts, for more than 1,300 journals published in 50 countries & 28 languages. Now includes full-text to more than fifty periodicals. Also indexes books, dissertations, and technical reports. Produced by the American Psychological Association. Coverage: 1887-present, varies by file. Updated monthly.
