ACLS Humanities E-Book
A collaboration of eight learned societies, nearly 75 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. It includes about 1,400 history books from 75 publishers in eBook format and is growing at the rate of about 250 new titles per year.

The definitive index of literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. Indexes 1,700 journals from 1964 to present. Also includes citations and links to book and media reviews. Strong English-language journal coverage is balanced by an international perspective on topics and events, including abstracts in English of articles published in more than 40 languages.
Catalog of U.S. Government Publications
The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) is a search and retrieval service that provides bibliographic records of U.S. Government information products. Use it to link to Federal agency online resources or identify materials distributed to Federal depository libraries. Coverage begins with January 1994 and new records are added daily.
Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO)
Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) is the most comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs. CIAO is also widely-recognized source for teaching materials including original case studies written by leading international affairs experts, course packs of background readings for history and political science classes, and special features like the analysis of a bin Laden recruitment tape with video. All sections of CIAO are updated monthly.
CountryWatch
Contents: provides up-to-date information and news on the countries of the world in a concise and useful form. Includes cultural, political, economic, and business information and maps. Updated daily. Country Reviews are annual, but updated dynamically on the Web site to account for major changes.
GEOBASE
Subjects: geography, geology, ecology, and related disciplines. Contents: Covers the worldwide literature of these disciplines with indexing and abstracts for journals, books, conference proceedings, and reports. Over 2,000 journals are fully indexed; 3,000 selectively indexed. Coverage: 1980-present. Updated daily.
Historical Abstracts (See Dan Bowell to use this database.)
Indexes literature regarding worldwide history of 1450 to present, as well as related social sciences and humanities. It excludes America and Canada from its coverage, as they are covered in America: History & Life. Topics covered: cultural, diplomatic, economic, intellectual, military, political, and social history, among others. Please ask a librarian for assistance.
JSTOR
JSTOR (Journal STORage) presents the searchable full text of the complete back files for over 100 important scholarly journals. Coverage generally includes the first volume through issues published prior to the most recent 3-5 years (current issues are not available in JSTOR). Includes journals for the following disciplines: African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, sociology, and statistics.
