AccessScience is based upon the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, 9th edition and its corresponding annual yearbooks, the Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms, 6th edition. AccessScience contains 8,000 articles written by the leading figures in their fields, including 30 Nobel Prize winners, over 2000 science biographies and 13,000 high-quality illustrations, news stories from Science News, and McGraw-Hill science editors’ selected websites for further research capabilities. In addition, AccessScience is updated daily with new articles, research updates and current events.

Provides full-text access to many important journals in the biological sciences, mostly those which are published by small societies and non-commercial publishers. JSTOR (Journal STORage) presents the searchable full text of the complete back files for over 100 important scholarly journals. Coverage generally includes the first volume through issues published prior to the most recent 3-5 years (current issues are not available in JSTOR). Includes journals for the following disciplines: African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, sociology, and statistics.


Public Library of Science (PLoS)

PLoS publishes peer-reviewed, open access scientific and medical journals that include original research as well as timely feature articles. PLoS includes subjects in biology, medicine, computational biology, genetics, and pathogens. All PLoS articles are immediately freely accessible online, are deposited in the free public archive PubMed Central, and can be redistributed and reused according to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License .

PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides access to over 11 million citations from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.
