A well rounded site that includes a good representation of international art. Searchable by artist’s name or museum. Some articles are included (most are written by Joseph Phelan). - Art History Research Center

Links to member museum sites; membership is by invitation only. Includes current news. Good to locate websites for most of the larger, quality museums. - Asian Art
Calls itself an online journal for Asian art. Includes associations, articles, exhibitions and galleries. There are some useful scholarly articles included on specific elements of Asian art. - BUBL
BUBL is a “portal” of generally scholarly websites created by Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland. A useful list of art resources. - The Getty: Conducting Research
Includes Art and Architecture Thesaurus (AAT), a tool for subjects in art, which gives context and definitions. Also has a Union List of Artist Names (ULAN). - World Wide Art Resources
Includes an index of over 22,000 artists and 200,000 images. Compiles online art by artist, museum. Searchable database (artists, art movements, biographies, artwork). - WWW Virtual Library
Designed for scholarly audiences, this is a portal site of a wide variety of information: museums, research and reference, images, libraries, organizations, etc.
