Internships
Political Science majors are actively encouraged to complete a practicum through the American Studies Program or independently during the summer or January Interterm. Taylor political science students have had "hands-on" experiences in:
-
U.S. Congress
- Federal government departments
- Law firms
- State and local government
- Citizen action groups
- Legal departments of corporations and non-profit organizations
"The small seminars, the practical internships in local, state and federal settings, the emphasis on analysis, and the close collegial relationships with faculty and other majors all provided me a distinct advantage in graduate school."
Michelle Donaldson Deardorff, Ph.D.
