Overview

The physics and engineering programs provide an educational experience within a Christian context that equip students with the ability to obtain knowledge and understanding about the physical world for use in research, graduate studies and careers and to positively impact society.  The physics and engineering department offers instruction in physics, engineering, astronomy, and physical science.  Space physics, experimental condensed matter physics, theoretical high-energy physics, acoustics, advanced engineering instrumentation, power electronics and microelectronics provide the major research interests in the department.

Curriculum

The bachelor of science degree with a major in physical science and an emphasis in physics requires 75-80 hours of professional education courses, a physical science core and physics/ mathematics courses.  Secondary Education majors must complete specific general education requirements as outlined by the Education Department.
