Overview

The physics and engineering programs provide an educational experience within a Christian context that equip students with the ability to obtain knowledge and understanding about the physical world for use in research, graduate studies and careers and to positively impact society.  The physics and engineering department offers instruction in physics, engineering, astronomy, and physical science.  Space physics, experimental condensed matter physics, theoretical high-energy physics, acoustics, advanced engineering instrumentation, power electronics and microelectronics provide the major research interests in the department.

Curriculum

This integrated major provides a strong background in physics, systems, management, mathematics and problem solving.  The bachelor of science degree with a major in physics/systems requires 57-62 hours in the major and curriculum requirements in systems analysis.  All systems curriculum courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
