Physics and Engineering
Welcome to Taylor University's Department of Physics and Engineering. The physics program at Taylor University enables students to explore the realm of physics from a Christian perspective and encourages them to think critically about the natural world and the properties that make it function.
The physics end engineering department's purpose is to provide an educational experience within a Christian context that equips students with the ability to obtain knowledge and understanding about the physical world for use in research, graduate studies and careers, and to positively impact society. The physics and engineering department offers instruction in physics, astronomy, engineering and physical science. Space physics, theoretical high energy physics, acoustics, advanced engineering instrumentation and microelectronics comprise the major research interests in the department.
When discussing student involvement in courses and research, Dr. Holmes said, "the student leadership is unique here."
