Professional Activities:
Before accepting a teaching position at Taylor University, Dr. Messer taught at Voorhees College, a historically black school in South Carolina. She has been at Taylor since 1988. Dr. Messer has visited many Latin American countries and has traveled with students to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Miami.
Hobbies:
Besides teaching, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking, camping, hiking, bicycling, and cross-country skiing.
