Careers

Students graduating from the BSCEP department have many options for their future. While many attend seminary or enter missions or teaching, BSCEP majors have the ability to serve in a variety of ministries. Majors and minors in this department have entered the following vocational fields:

  • Church - pastor, youth pastor, associate pastor, Christian education director. Pastor of specialized groups:  children, music, outreach, evangelism, discipleship, family ministry, singles, elderly, handicapped, women's ministries, recreational ministries, etc.
  • Para Church - InterVarsity, YFC, Campus Crusade, Child Evangelism, Navigators, Young Life, etc.
  • Missions - trainer, linguist, church planter, discipler, evangelist, curriculum developer, house parent, teacher, community development, student mobilizer, short term missions leader, rehabilitation
  • Inner City - church planter, youth center director, ministry with youth, social worker, community development worker, recreation director, house parent
  • Christian Camping - conference, wilderness
  • Christian College - resident hall director, student development leader, professor of Christian education, student ministry director, practicum supervisor
  • Writing - Sunday school/children, youth, adult curriculum, books, magazine editor, book editor
  • Media Specialist - film, music, video, communications
  • Day Care - director, children's home director

Many BSCEP majors pursue careers in other fields and use their degree in lay ministries in their local churches and communities.
